About

From a young age I enjoyed playing video games by myself and with my family. I started on PC games then moved to console where, as the youngest, I found myself as player 2 most of the time.

When I came to the end of my time at school and the decision of what to study at university came, I naturally found myself leaning towards a computer science degree which I completed at Aberystwyth with a 2:2 in general computer science. The course not only taught coding but also workplace methodologies, with a focus on agile methodologies.

Though through working on my degree I found that working on modules I was more attracted to working on more visual based projects over more traditional software engineering projects which lead me to game creation for my dissertation, using Unity.

After university I was too ill to work for two years but after receiving treatment I started learning Unreal using Udemy. From my experience with Unity and using Unreal I found a preference in Unreal but had much to learn which lead me to Mastered, an up-skilling bootcamp.

Most recently, through Mastered, I’ve been experimenting with blending game concepts to create unique results by building a portfolio project using blueprint language. I have also competed in multiple game jams, as a team using unity.
